Show calendar events to one or more categories

We’re building part of a site that would break users into specific categories. Can we use shortcodes to only show events by one or more categories to only let those desired to see the event?

We do offer Calendar View Shortcodes and Widget Shortcodes. These shortcodes can be filtered to display a specific category. Would this meet your needs?
