    Hi,
Just bought the pro plugin – I would like to display a list of events on a range of pages on my website without having to use widgets. For example, I would like to have a simple shortcode such as [events categories=”cat1,cat2,cat”]

I’m comfortable creating shortcodes by myself, so do you have any guides or tutorials on how to output this via PHP without having to use a widget?

    Thanks

Hi thanks for purchasing our plugin.

I can help you get going on this. We do not have shortcodes as part of the plugin.

There are many options to make your own, but here are two:

    Coding Option
You could follow along with in the Get Event Section of this page:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/

And use that to make a shortcode.

    Plugin Option
We do have an unofficial plugin called Event Rocket that wraps the Events Calendar widgets into shortcodes. You could check that out as it does have a list view.

    Event Rocket

Let me know if that helps out or you have some more questions.

    Thanks

Since I haven’t heard back from you here, I’m going to go ahead and close out this thread. Feel free to start a new thread if you have further issues. Thanks! 🙂
