Shortcode to embed events on homepage?

Hi there,

I have an urgent question. My client wants the first few upcoming events to show up in one of the columns of the homepage (there is no sidebar on the homepage, just a slider and three columns below that). Would be possible to ‘call’ the events in the homepage somehow?

Hi Marlies,

Thanks for your note. At this time, The Events Calendar does not work with shortcodes. However, you may be able to achieve something similar by using a third party plugin which allows widgets in the main page columns. Our Upcoming Events widget would be perfect, if you can get it showing where you want. If you need further assistance, feel free to post in the PRO forum. That’s where we handle support requests for the calendar, while this forum is more for potential customers asking questions 🙂
