ParticipantHi there,
The “add event” short code [tribe_community_events] appears in the “Event Description” text box. My users have to manually delete it before adding there description. Is this a known error? How can I make this text disappear?June 13, 2014 at 2:14 pm #223926Casey D
MemberHello jhatzi,
Thanks for contacting us!
This is strange! From what I understand, in the Community Events submit an event form, in the description text box, there is some ‘[tribe_community_events]’ text that needs to be deleted?
Are you using the pretty permalinks version of Community Events, or the shortcode version? I’m unable to see the issue, as it is behind a login. Can you upload a screen shot of it?
Here are some excellent tools for uploading some screenshots!
Does this make sense? Let me know if this doesn’t work for you.
Cheers!

ParticipantHi Casey, It’s been 4 days since I posted the screen shots as requested (posted as private). Do you have any updates on the issue?

MemberHello jhatzi,
Sorry for the delay, I was waiting for a dev to get back to me and forgot to follow up yesterday!
This is a bug in our code, I was able to reproduce it on my system.
A work around would be to use pretty permalinks, which I just confirmed work fine on my system. You could also use a line of jquery to clear both of these fields on load.
Sorry again about this! Let me know if you have any questions!
