Shortcode text appears in event description box

Hi there,
The “add event” short code [tribe_community_events] appears in the “Event Description” text box. My users have to manually delete it before adding there description. Is this a known error? How can I make this text disappear?

This is strange! From what I understand, in the Community Events submit an event form, in the description text box, there is some ‘[tribe_community_events]’ text that needs to be deleted?

Are you using the pretty permalinks version of Community Events, or the shortcode version? I’m unable to see the issue, as it is behind a login. Can you upload a screen shot of it?

Sorry for the delay, I was waiting for a dev to get back to me and forgot to follow up yesterday!

This is a bug in our code, I was able to reproduce it on my system.

A work around would be to use pretty permalinks, which I just confirmed work fine on my system. You could also use a line of jquery to clear both of these fields on load.
