ParticipantHi
Ive noticed that if I setup a shortcode to display my calendar in week mode, if the browser is changed to a mobile view, the screen shows both the week view columns as well as the mobile friendly list view beneath it. If I do the same thing with just the standard calendar view, it shows correctly (only the mobile friendly format). Is this behaviour normal when using shortcode?

KeymasterHello there,
I just checked this out on my test installation, and when I decrease the screen size to a mobile width, I only see the mobile friendly view.
Can you provided a screenshot of what you are seeing? What happens if you temporarily switch to the Twenty Seventeen theme and disable other plugins? Do you still see both views showing in mobile?
Thanks,

ParticipantHi Sky
It still does it when I preview it in Twenty Seventeen theme
Attached are some screenshots.

KeymasterHi again,
Thanks for the screenshots. I am only seeing the weekly view there. Maybe because there’s no events? Are you saying that when there are events, you see both the weekly calendar and the list of events?
Can you provide a link to a page where you are using a shortcode and this is the case?
Thanks,

ParticipantThanks Sky
Yes I think I might have chosen a week that had no events, but even with no events, I would have expected the grid layout to not show, even if its blank and there aren’t any events.
Yes when the device is viewed on a mobile browser, it shows both the weekly grid AND the list of events below.

KeymasterCan you tell me what you have set in Events > Settings > Display > Default Mobile View?
I thought maybe this didn’t have an effect on the shortcode calendars, but I just discovered something.
If I load the page in desktop mode, and make the browser window smaller to “mobile” width, I see the week view get hidden and the list view show up. However, if I refresh the page with the browser window already “mobile” width, then I see whatever is set as the default mobile view in the settings.
Thanks,

ParticipantI have week view set for both options (Default view and mobile view)
What view do I need to put as the mobile view? Is “list view” different to the week view when its shown on a smaller screen?
No matter what I do, I can not make the week grid view disappear when the screen is changed to mobile size. I can see all the events beneath the grid displaying as they should but the calendar grid style view above it should not be showing.

KeymasterYou can try setting the mobile view to list view. Technically, it should be the same. Though, for me with both set to “week” the week grid is hidden from view with javascript before it resolves. I’m not sure what’s preventing this on your site.
Let me know what happens if you change that to “list”.
Thanks,
