Sylviane
ParticipantI have a website with French and English versions.
The Events Cal is built in on the homepage as a shortcode, to just show 3 events: http://www.sylvianegianina.com/
This links to a full events page with all events on this page: http://www.sylvianegianina.com/activites-2018-fr/
I’m filtering the events displayed by categories EN and FR so I can display only English ones on the English page and same for French.issue 1)
above and below the shortcode, on the left there’s the link to previous events. As it’s a duplicate, I’d like to remove the link above. can you advise where/how to remove this please?issue 2)
On the french version of the homepage, the link to previous events is a wrong translation.
Is there a way to translate this manually? please advise in which file I can change this.
« Précédent Évènements —-> it should be “rencontres précédentes”Thanks

KeymasterHi Sylviane,
I would be happy to help you get this figured out!
1) The top links are actually hidden by default, and require a CSS snippet in order to show. Have you added this CSS somewhere in your code? You just need to remove this, and the top links should be hidden again. Here is the knowledgebase article that describes how to enable them, so you know what you are looking for: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/adding-navigation-links-above-the-calendar-in-month-view/
2) You can override the official translations if you would rather word things differently. Please see this knowledgebase article for more information: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/how-to-override-plugin-language-files/
If you believe the phrase in question is actually mis-translated, you can suggest a correction by following the steps outlined here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/adding-or-updating-a-translation/
Let me know if that helps!
Thanks,

ParticipantHi Sky,
Thanks for your reply.
Regarding 1) I don’t use the month view so this link isn’t helping in my case?
I’m inserting the events cal with a shortcode on both pages in Photo View instead.
Checking my child theme file “tribe-events-pro.css” there’s no reference to this code.
Do you have a plan B how to remove this?Regarding 2)
I followed the instructions to copy the po/mo files and edited them but this didn’t work.
Is there a way to make both links disappear here, above and below, using CSS?Best and Thanks
