    Hello,

I was very excited when I found The Events Calendar Pro, because it seemed to have many features that CalendarizeIt didn’t have. I purchased it and am trying to switch over the first of my clients’ sites to it, in the hopes of eventually migrating everyone over to it. Unfortunately, I’ve already hit a huge roadblock, and don’t quite know how to move forward.

The client has multiple pages that need to have an embedded calendar – and for the life of me I can’t figure out how to embed a calendar on specific pages with all the bells and whistles. Specifically on one page it needs to be in a tab, and on another page it needs to be near the bottom of the page. I see there’s a shortcode to embed the mini calendar, but this doesn’t include any of the filters at the top, nor does it display the actual events (just bullets).

I can’t be the first person to want this, and with something that otherwise seems to tick so many boxes, I imagine I must just be missing how to do it.

Any direction in how to go about adding the standard /events/category style calendar to a page, either via php in a template or via shortcode would be much appreciated.

I still hope to switch to TEC as my main calendar system in my work, so I’m hopeful I just missed something in the documentation about this!

    Thank you!

    Brendan:

I have the same issue. I would like to put the events calendar on a certain page. I tried to edit the events page to see if I can embed the code into another page, but I am not allowed to edit the information. Does anyone have a solution with out using a widget.

Does anyone have the code to embed into another page. I am trying to embed the code into the WP Content Loop. Thank you.

Hey folks, thanks for getting in touch!

The only shortcodes that ship with The Events Calendar PRO are the ones that embed the premium widgets on any page or post. Here’s an article that breaks that down further with example of how to filter by category.

If you’re looking to embed a full calendar view, then you might want to consider checking out Event Rocket. It’s a free extension for The Events Calendar and–though we don’t support it here in the forums–it does include the ability to embed the full calendar list view using a shortcode. That might be worth checking out.

Sorry for the confusion, but does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!
    Geoff
