Shortcode for List in Pro Version

I want to show the most recent events but only a certain number of them, can this be done with the shortcode?

To use shortcodes, you will need to get a copy of the Events Calendar pro: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-calendar-pro/

This will provide you with many other awesome features, but will let you use the following shortcodes:

• https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-widget-shortcodes/
• https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-calendar-views-tribe_events-shortcode/

In your case, I would highly recommend the Advanced list widget shortcode.
