Hi there, Branson! Thanks for getting in touch. 🙂
Good question. I’m afraid shortcodes are not available in Community Events.
Users in Community Events are registered as users in WordPress, so you could theoretically use get_users()here and display the users you want by their assigned roles. We’re pretty limited as far as how much support we can provide for custom development like this, but we’d be happy to point you in the right direction, if we can.
Thanks Geoff. Actually, what I meant to convey was a way to display the event_list.php on a page. I think the best way would be to copy that code to create a shortcode of my own, but I wasnt sure if there was a better way already built in.
You’re correct: there are no existing shortcodes for this, so you would need to roll with your own. There is a third-party plugin called Event Rocket (not supported by us) that creates calendar shortcodes, but not one for the use I think you’re looking for.
My pleasure, thanks for following up! I’ll go ahead and close this thread, but please feel free to hit us up with a new one if any other questions pop up. We’d be happy to help. 🙂
Cheers!
Geoff
