sharing a calendar between two sites

I have two clients that want to share one calendar. The contents will be maintained by one of the sites, the other site just wishes to display their events.

Is this possible?

Hi nancymcnamara,

There is not currently a way for two calendars to share or sync events. However, since The Events Calendar includes import and export options, you could have the second site regularly export the main site’s events and then import those events to their own calendar. Would that work for your clients?

but I cannot locate the export option.

The standard WordPress export is in xml, but events calendar imports in csv. How do I create the export file in csv?

Hi Nancy,

You can export events from The Events Calendar either to .ics or straight to Google Calendar. There is not currently a way to export them straight to CSV, although I know some users have found ways to covert the exported .ics into a CSV file.

Another option is for one or both sites to have our add-on plugin iCal Importer, which allows you to import events in .ics format, so you have a somewhat smoother system without file conversion.
