ParticipantAll other pages/posts on my website share to FB just fine – but not an event page, e.g. http://www.solo-e.com/newWP/class/mindset-secrets-expand-your-business-in-2015/
Facebook shares the link but no image, title or caption. If I put the link into the Facebook scraper tool (https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/), it just tells me the page doesn’t exist.

ParticipantI have the same exact problem. does anyone have a solution. I do have the latest calendar, pro & community plugins as of today, but this problem was occurring prior to updating. I was hoping an update would fix.

I double-checked the meta in my header & when I added the code they mention for the functions.php page, that fixed it for me.January 22, 2015 at 7:22 am #936172terrizsolo
Participantjskk123 if you look at the source code of my example page, in the header I already specify the meta image I want for that page (I use a similar function to what you reference). Works great for any other post on my site except Events.
I don’t know why, but Facebook just doesn’t seem to like Event posts…

MemberHi terrizsolo,
Sorry for the issues you are having. This ticket is not closed so not sure why that message appeared.
I visited the link, but I am getting a 404 error on the page and Events Calendar is not showing any events.
Can you run through our 404 Error Guide if you think this is an error and see if that brings the events back if they should be there.
Let me know what you find out and we can go from there.
Thanks
Glad you were able to fix the issue jskk123 and thanks for sharing your solution.
Also for reference, we do not provide open graph tags so those will be provided by another plugin or through custom coding.

ParticipantOk well that’s really weird, I can see the events when I am logged in. But not in another browser where I am logged out of WP.
1. I flushed permalinks. Changed the permalinks. Changed them back. No help.
2. I added the Media Attachment snippet, but it gave me this error:
Warning: call_user_func_array() [function.call-user-func-array]: First argument is expected to be a valid callback, ‘tribe_attachment_404_fix ‘ was given in /home/soloentr/public_html/newWP/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 496I’m working through the other steps but in the meantime, can you see this event (dev site): http://www.wpblogsitesdemo.com/terriz/class/widgets-test/2015-01-27/

Participant- I just updated the plugin to 3.9.1 (not sure if it was EC or EC Pro but they are now both on 3.9.1)
- I flushed permalinks again.
- I changed to 2013 theme; no difference.
- I deactivated all plugins. Voila, I can see my event without being logged in (in another browser). I’m going to go through all 33 of my other plugins now… 🙁

ParticipantWow part A was so simple – my Types/Access settings got changed such that Events weren’t readable except by Admins. Now at least Facebook (and hopefully y’all) can see the events: http://www.solo-e.com/newWP/class/how-to-create-an-authentic-magnetic-message-that-attracts-your-favorite-clients/2015-02-17/
But FB is still ignoring the og: tags that are right there…so I’m still going through the other plugins…

ParticipantDuh. Once I enabled All in One SEO the tags are there now. Oy.
Sorry y’all!
