I run hundreds of events every month with your software, but every day we have to do dozens of filter searches to bring up THAT DAY’S events. We have a long list of filters created to assist us with this, but what we would also like is a way to filter based off the date. In other words, a button that immediately brings up all events (or all events + whatever filters are selected) for [TODAY] [THIS WEEK] etc. Is this possible?

    Hello talanithus,

With the Pro plugin, there is a ‘Day’ view for the front end with urls like ‘/events/today/’ and ‘/events/2014-05-03/’. To activate the ‘Day’ view go to the Events Settings > Display tab in WP-Admin. There you will see a list of available views (it seems you only have list and month activated now).

For back end filter, I assume you are talking about the Filter bar the Pro plugin offers. I don’t believe there is a ‘today’ or ‘week’ button there, but the day filter is only 3 clicks I believe:

Does this make sense? Let me know if this doesn’t work for you.

    Cheers!

I can create a new filter every day, but let’s face it, that’s a needless pain the butt. If an event is happening that day, it is GUARANTEED you’ll need to do a search for it. So adding in some quick link buttons for the current day/week/month seems like a win win feature, as it simply allows users to get directly to the relevant content easily, without extra manual entry.

    Hello talanithus,

This isn’t a feature request I’ve come across before. From what I can tell, most users create the event well ahead of time and it is relatively left alone from that point on. They may open it to edit or add information.

I’m interested in your workflow, if you are opening every event on the day it happens, every day of the week. This may be a workflow many users have and I just haven’t run into it before. What are the tasks you are trying to complete that you need to open every event on the day of?

If you have a moment, we’d love for you to submit your idea to our UserVoice forum. We take user ideas and contributions very seriously, and many times their ideas end up in our future releases.

    Hello talanithus,

We typically close threads if there is no activity after two weeks. Feel free to create a new thread and reference this one to save you time.

    Cheers!
