    Hi folks,
Sorry to bother you. Last year I bought Event Calendar Pro, but found I couldn’t use it for what I wanted as I was trying to set exterior venues by using a grid reference or latitude longitude. (i.e., SX123456 or 50.4882,-04.0047 . The latter is easily obtainable from Google maps by right clicking on a location and selecting ‘What’s here’.
When I asked at the time, last Feb I think, you stated this would be considered for a later version. Is this yet possible as I am thinking of renewing?
    Many thanks
    Steve

    Hi Steve,

No unfortunately that is not currently possible and probably will not be possible with the 3.0 release, either. This is the first time I’ve personally seen a request for a feature like this; I’m not really sure how much demand exists for it.

It would very much be possible to set this up as a customization, though, so if you have the skills or can find a suitably skilled developer to look into this for you that’s a possible avenue – better yet, if you devise a solution please post back and share with the community!

    Thanks Barry,
My workaround is to disable it in Events Calendar Pro and add it manually with another plug in! Thanks for the quick response though.

Just to add, one of our devs (Jonathan) did try leaving the address blank but for the street address and entered lat, long coordinates there (this is using our 3.0 beta code) and that worked.

The only side effect was that the coordinates then displayed on the single event page as part of the address – though that could be concealed. So that’s another possible approach you could explore.
