Set Author for Venues & Organizers

Is there a way to create a Venue or organization but have its author be someone other than myself (as admin)?

When registering CPT’S in wordpress i know there is an option for author support. Is this something I can turn on for these two items?

Hey Ryan,

Interesting question! There is not a way to do this right out of the box, I’m afraid. I believe it would require touching the core files where the post types are registered in order to do that, which I wouldn’t recommend doing–mostly because those changes will get lost in future updates.

That’s a cool idea though. Would you mind adding it to our feature request forum? It would be interesting to see how many other people would like it as well.

Ah yes, I was debating on playing with the CPT registration functions. Since I only really need to author features for initial set up I went ahead and added ‘author’ function to the types. It was very simple. I will just have to remember that updates will remove this option, again not the end of the world as all users and organizers will be registers already.
