GuestHey Guys,
I have been testing event tickets v4.4.5 – Love the simplicity of it, however I do have a couple of things that I need to achieve, which other plugins ie.. Event Espresso do not have… My main issue is around sequential ticket numbers and how the system handles them – although the ticket numbers look to be in sequential order, they start at a random number eg.. 220
Can you confirm the following that should I upgrade to the pro version:
– I am able to set the start numbers of individual tickets. Ultimately I want the tickets to start at 1, run sequentially and finish at eg.. 500 (legal requirement to start at 1)– I want to run multiple tickets/events and want each of to start at 1, run sequentially and finish at eg.. 500 (legal requirement to start at 1)
– If I am able to prefix the ticket numbers eg.. ABC-(ticket number)
– I want to sell the tickets rather than RSVP via woocommerce / stripe, I’m assuming this is built in functionality.
Cheers guys, look forward to hearing from you.

MemberGood evening Adam and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!
Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions. Can you confirm the following that should I upgrade to the pro version:
– I am able to set the start numbers of individual tickets. Ultimately I want the tickets to start at 1, run sequentially and finish at eg.. 500 (legal requirement to start at 1)While using Event Tickets Plus, the default behaviour is for ticket numbers to be sequential and run with the following format eventname-X or sku-X (e.g. nameofmyevent-1, nameofmyevent-2, nameofmyevent-3, etc..): https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets-plus/
The good news is that you could totally:
- Control that via the ticket SKU if you use WooCommerce
- Customize that behaviour if you wanted to.
You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.
– I want to run multiple tickets/events and want each of to start at 1, run sequentially and finish at eg.. 500 (legal requirement to start at 1)
The tickets will start at 1, especially if you are using ticket SKU with WooCommerce.
Technically putting a stock of 500 on your tickets should handle the upper limit.
However, that might not be true if you refund or cancel tickets. In any case, you could probably add a WooCommerce filter for that.
– If I am able to prefix the ticket numbers eg.. ABC-(ticket number)
Yes, this is possible with WooCommerce with the ticket SKU (A unique identifying code for each ticket type you’re selling)
– I want to sell the tickets rather than RSVP via woocommerce / stripe, I’m assuming this is built in functionality.
Yes Event Tickets Plus integrates perfectly with WooCommerce (but not yet WooCommerce 3 – which just came out, at the time of writing).
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!
