    I have found a conflict when using Events Calendar Pro with the Sensible Pro 2.0 v2.3.1 WP theme from Modern Themes using either the Tribe Events Styles or Full Styles stylesheets and any template whether default Events Calendar Pro or the Sensible Pro theme’s.

    The issue is that the calendar content starts at the top of the page and overwrites and removes most of the website header content except for the site logo and main navigation menu links. WP Twenty-Sixteen theme works fine as does using the Skeleton Styles default stylesheet or inserting a the [tribe-events] shortcode into a WP page. Please see the screenshot attached to this topic for an example of the issue.

    As I’m not an experienced WP developer, I really hope you can help me fix this issue. Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

    All the best,
    Jesse

    Hello again,

    Can someone please let me know if there’s anything I can do about this issue? If not, I may need to ask for a refund as I’m not saavy enough to fix the issue myself.

    Thanks for getting back to me!

    Hey Jesse,

    Thank you for reaching out to us!

    Do you mind sharing with us your calendar URL so we can take a look? I believe we can fix the issue by modifying CSS a little bit.

    I’ve just accessed you site using the default calendar URL (via query string) but wasn’t able to find it (https://mindonbreath.com/?post_type=tribe_events).

    If you have any other questions in the meantime, please feel free to let me know and I’d be happy to help as best I can!

    Cheers,

    Patricia

    Hi Jesse,

    Thanks! The Events Calendar was disabled in your site the first time I checked. To update your calendar’s position you can add the following code to your theme’s style.css file:

    form#tribe-bar-form {
        margin-top: 100px !important;
    }

    This way the calendar won’t overlay your header. Regarding the missing slider: event views are archives in WordPress, so to get started, I would recommend you to check your theme settings and make sure that the slider is displayed in archive pages as well.

    I hope this helps! If you have any other questions at all please feel free to let me know and I’d be happy to help as best I can!

    Cheers,

    Patricia

    Thanks for your helpful response, I’ve added the new style code to my theme’s style.css file. Can you please also let me know where I add the new <form id=”tribe-bar-form”…” code that will apply the new margin-top style to the page?

    Thanks Patricia!

    Hi Jesse,

    The tribe-bar-form is already present in your page and as I can see from here the new style is working as expected (the calendar is now placed below your logo/site header)!

    If you have any other questions at all please feel free to let me know and I’d be happy to help as best I can!

    Best Regards,

    Patricia

    Thanks Patricia! I just had to clear cache in Chrome for it to work for the main events page, though I still see the issue on the single event page here: https://mindonbreath.com/event/learn-meditate-build-practice/ (see attached screenshot as well). Any idea of how to fix that?

    As for enabling the main site header to be applied to Events Calendar pages, it doesn’t appear that my theme has the option to assign the header/slider to archive pages. Any ideas on how to make this happen another way?

    At this point I’m wondering when I might decide this Sensible Pro 2.0 theme from ModernThemes just isn’t compatible enough with Events Calendar Pro to continue trying to make it work. Do you have a sense of when it’s time to accept this and either find another theme or another calendar plugin?

    Thanks for your continued help and guidance Patricia, it’s much appreciated!

    Jesse

    Hi Patricia,

    First, I want to say how much I appreciate the help you’ve given me on this ticket – thanks so much. That being said, let’s close the ticket as I’ve switched to the Avada theme as I think it’s a better long-term decision than sticking with the theme I was using.

    I’ll let you all know if I need any more help, but the Avada theme should work great with Events Calendar Pro.

    All the best,
    Jesse

    Hi Jesse,

    You are welcome! I’ve just accessed your site to check the issue on https://mindonbreath.com/event/learn-meditate-build-practice/, but it looks like you’ve changed your theme to Avada. Avada is compatible with Modern Tribe plugins. They also have a handy article on their site that explains how to use Events Calendar with Avada!

    We have a list of themes that are compatible with The Events Calendar: you can check it here.

    I hope this helps! If you have any other questions at all please feel free to let me know and I’d be happy to help as best I can!

    Cheers,

    Patricia

    Hi again Jesse,

    It looks like we decided to answer to this thread together (I’ve received your reply while I was sending you my own answer) :)!

    I hope the info I shared with you in my previous reply is useful now that you decided to change your Theme to Avada!

    Thanks again and if you have any other questions at all, please open a new ticket and we will be happy to help!

    Best regards,

    Patricia
