ParticipantHey I have tested both WooCommerce and WP eCommerce and they seem to work fine, but I really like to use Easy Digital Downloads because I am only going to sell tickets and this plugin seem to only cover what I need and not so much more that I will never need.
But I get the following error on the single tickets page and the additional ticket fieldset will not show when trying to buy a ticket
Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Post could not be converted to string in /home/alloy/domains/alloy.work/public_html/jam-test/wp-content/plugins/easy-digital-downloads/includes/download-functions.php on line 189the line of code on 189
$formatted_price = '<span class="edd_price" id="edd_price_' . $download_id . '">' . $price . '</span>';If I increment the number in the input field and hit enter I will be redirected to the check out page and every thing seems to work find, but I don’t have a add to cart button and there are no additional fields shown. If I disable the additional fields the error is the same and still no add to cart button (the layout seems overal broken, but that is what PHP does when it encounters an error right?)
I have also contacted the developer of EDD, but they think it has to do with your plugin instead of theirs. There are no error on the “normal” products page of EDD
That’s strange. Do you have any form of this issue when you use EDD as-is without Event Tickets Plus? To me, this sounds like something in the ticketing system is the root of the error. If so, you will need to contact Modern Tribe support.
Let me know if you get the same behavior following similar actions in EDD without the extension activated.
Any tips?

ParticipantSorry to hear about this, @atmedia—we love EDD and if there’s indeed an error here, we’ll work quick to fix it.
In testing on my local site, I’m not running into this error. I notice in your site’s “system information”—thanks for sharing this info, by the way!—you’re using version 4.3.5 of The Events Calendar…if you update to the most recent version, 4.4.0.1, does anything improve with the error message you report?
Let us know!
Thanks,

Participant@George thanks for your response. I see I have updated to the latest version after submitting my ticket and this didn’t help. I also just updated to the latest version of Event Tickets Plus and now I only see the RSVP option within the tribe_event backend. Is there some new option with the Event Tickets Plus that you have to enable which service you want to use for selling tickets?

ParticipantThanks for your patience and persistence here, @atmedia—I’m really sorry for the continued trouble!
I’ve been testing EDD tickets thoroughly on my local site and am not able to recreate any issues, let alone the sort of error message you describe. I am able to create and buy paid tickets and RSVPs without issue, with or without “Attendee Information” fields on them.
To help us move forward, can you do the following steps?
1. Deactivate all plugins on your site except for only The Events Calendar, Event Tickets, Event Tickets Plus, and Easy Digital Downloads.
2. Activate a default theme like Twenty Twelve or Twenty Seventeen.
3. Create a new test event, with test tickets of the same sort that you have the errors with.
4. View this test event and its tickets on the front end of your site, and see if you have the same errors.
If issues persist with your site in this state, would you be able to leave your site in this state and share a link to that test event? I will take a look at it firsthand and see if I can identify anything about it. (I know that leaving your site in this state when it’s publicly accessible is not ideal, so if you can’t do it, no worries—if you can, I can assure you I’ll work as quickly as possible to take a look so as to minimize the amount of time your site’s in that state.)
Thanks!
