GuestHi,
My client uses complex registration forms for their events registration. They build the forms with Gravity Forms. They use Gravity Forms for payments as well. So people pay at the end of the forms an amount dependent on the options they selected.
Now, for some options at one of the events, they would like to use Event Ticket Plus so that people receive a unique ticket by email and they would scan that ticket once people show up at the event.
So is there a way to use Event Ticket Plus that way, when selling directly in Gravity Forms? We would prefer that to setting up a separate shopping cart for those tickets.
Thanks for your help.

MemberHi Antoine,
Thanks for reaching out and for your interest in our plugins 🙂

I don’t think there’s an easy way of doing this, because Event Tickets Plus tickets are tied to e-commerce orders (from WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads, WP-Ecommerce or Shopp). I guess it’s possible but might be complicated.
Maybe using Event Tickets to generate RSVP tickets via code when the form is submitted sounds like a simpler idea. RSVP tickets are emailed and have a QR code too, but the plugin doesn’t interact with any e-commerce platform which can be best for your case.
Please let me know if my answers helps to clarify,
Best,

GuestHi Nico,
Thanks for your answer! What you’re suggestion sounds very logical. We would make people pay exactly as usual and then send them a ticket automatically if they bought one. That’s actually exactly what we want to achieve.
But how would we set that up so tickets are sent automatically (not asking clients to fill out another form)? You mention “via code”. Do you have documentation on this?
Thanks!

MemberGlad to hear Event Tickets might work for you!
I guess the best way is to give this a spin! I recommend downloading the plugin and inspecting the RSVP class (wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/src/Tribe/RSVP.php) and the RSVP tickets form (wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/src/views/tickets/rsvp.php). You can create a hidden form that submits the data or again inspect the RSVP class specially the generate_tickets method.
Give a try and let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with,
Have a great weekend,
