Richard
ParticipantHi
I need to sell tables of 10 for an event. How do I make a ticket type only allow purchases in multiples of 10?
Thanks
Rich

MemberGood evening Rich and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic. The simplest way to achieve that is to make a ticket type using WooCommerce tickets.
Once the ticket is created, you can control quantity rules using a WooCommerce third-party plugin. There are a few out there, but check out https://wordpress.org/plugins/quantities-and-units-for-woocommerce/
Please note that you will have to Edit the ticket in WooCommerce directly to access those rules.
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

ParticipantThanks
But that plugin doesn’t work – it gives errors everywhere. Similar plugins only do the check on the basket page which means users have just skipped the step to add in attendee data for all the seats.
Any ideas?

MemberGood afternoon Richard,
You are absolutely right, there seems to be a shortage of recently updated plugins that manage the increments between quantities.
This leaves you with 2 options:
- Do a custom function based on https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/adjust-the-quantity-input-values/ that would only impact products of a certain product category.
- Give the following paid plugin a shot: https://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-advanced-quantity/11861326
Let me know how that goes.

ParticipantThat doesn’t solve the fact that if you update the ticket quantity in the shopping basket you are not promoted to add the additional attendee information?

MemberHi Richard,
Sorry for the delayed response!
That’s very true and we have a ticket to implement that functionality: I’ve linked this topic to the internal ticket and so you should receive an update here once we take that work forward.
Coming back to your core question: right at this time there is no native way to enforce a system where customers can only buy in units of 10, so custom development or clever use of third party plugins (or both) is likely to be the best path forward for the time being.
I hope that clarifies things 🙂
