Search showing past events

Hello, in my native wordpress search function you can search for events which I like. However it shows events that have already passed. I would like to only show events coming up.

Is there a way to stop past events showing? A function or a query I can add?

Alternatively, can I adjust the ‘Move to trash events older than’ so that it trashes events older than 1 day?

Thanks for reaching out!

The “Clean up recurring events after” setting can’t be less than one month. I believe you would need to modify the search query to exclude past events, but a simpler option might be to use a plugin like Post Expirator, which allows you to automatically expire/trash events on a certain date.
