Hi Modern Tribe team! I purchased a customized theme a while back that included an events manager, however was extremely unsatisfied with it (bummer, yeah). Anyway, I was so satisfied with what you had to offer with the Pro version, that I ended up purchasing it and changed the slugs within the theme so it would appropriately work. I do however have a question: I’m not a developer, I’m a designer. The theme I purchased included a search function in the header, however if I were to search for any keywords related to any of the events I have added with your plugin, I get no results. I realize this may be an issue with the theme itself, and not necessarily the plugin, however I was wondering if you knew of a solution from a developers standpoint. I realize the plugin itself comes with a search option, but it would also be beneficial to have the ability to search for events from the homepage (even if there was some type of way to incorporate a Modern Tribe search widget). Any help is appreciated, and again I’m very pleased with the the plugin.

Hi Jason,
It’s very hard to answer a question like that without knowing what sort of logic is being used by the theme. A standard WordPress search ought to include events – if that’s not happening and you know it relates to the theme, I’m afraid you would need to approach the theme developer for assistance or else open it up and see what it’s doing at code level.
If I was to hazard a guess it would be that it is limiting its query to a subset of post types – perhaps just posts and pages – but that’s only a guess.
