ParticipantHi-
On the back-end interface, when adding/editing events, sometimes when I try to search for an event that I want to edit (even if I type in its exact name) it does not pull the results I’m looking for. Are there any tricks to using the search function so it works better for me?Also, on a related note, I would like to know how many total number of events are in my calendar from today through the last one listed in the future. Or, if needed, I could specify that I would like to know how many events there are from present until 5/30/17. It shows that I have 17,000+ events but many of these are from the past. Is there a way to find this out? (This would be a helpful sales tool for me to say that I have X number of event listings on my website from now until next year.)
Also, in case it matters, my actual website is letsgomommy.com. The URL listed below is for my staging site. Since I only have 1 license key it doesn’t allow me to use it on both my staging site and main website at the same time.
Thanks,

KeymasterHi Lindy,
Thanks for reaching out! I’m really sorry you are experiencing issues with the search function.
I don’t really know of any tricks how it could be used better. I have tested it now on a local site and all worked fine for me. Only thing I can think of is that the number of events you have in your database is too much for the search function… but shouldn’t be I think.
Anyway, what I can suggest for the search and your other question as well, is the Advanced Post Manager plugin which is also developed by us and is totally free. 🙂 It works super well with The Events Calendar, gives you awesome filtering and sorting options. And you should be able to get the event numbers you seek. I’d say give that a go.
Strictly focusing on the search, you might look into this plugin:
I personally just found it via a search now, but it’s search features look good. This could be a search alternative if the Advanced Post Manager doesn’t work out for you.
Let me know if this helps or if you have any more questions.
Cheers,
