Search events by state, zip, county

Is there a search option in the pro or other versions that would enable a visitors to find an event in a certain radius of the zip/ address; search by state or even keyword type?

Thanks for getting in touch. In The Events Calendar 3.0, users can search by keyword. Events Calendar PRO 3.0 and above includes a Location search as well as a sweet map view that will give you events nearby sorted by distance, just as you described. You can see it in action on our demo site. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Hi Leah,

Thank you for your reply. I was able to play around with your demo site yesterday. The problem I ran into was with the search option named “Location’. I typed in Ohio and it does not display an event, even though there is an event on July 29 in Ohio called Word Camp Columbus. Am I using it incorrectly?

Hey Don,

Thanks for pointing that out. I believe the problem is because we were running a slightly outdated version on the site (oops!) and needed to generate updated venue data. We’re fixing that so it’ll be smoother. Also, the search does in general work best with city and state searches (like Columbus, OH instead of Ohio) but we hope to improve that in the future.
