ParticipantIs there a way that users could search by Vendor and see a list of results?

MemberHello baynature,
Could I get more information? We don’t have a vendor type, only ‘Organizers’ and ‘Venues’. Did you mean one of those?
Also, where would you like to search and see results? I don’t believe we currently have a dedicated system in place, and we don’t have a url scheme like /organizers or /venues set up yet.
If you have a moment, we’d love for you to submit your idea to our UserVoice forum. We take user ideas and contributions very seriously, and many times their ideas end up in our future releases.
It is of course technically possible to query the database for anything inside of it, as long as you have the know how.
Does this make sense? Let me know if I can explain anything else!
Cheers!

ParticipantHi Casey,
Sorry about that, it’s been a crazy week. Yes, I meant Venues, not vendors. I would like to have a search box on this page: http://baynature.org/events/ that would bring users to another page with a list of vendors that that match their query. I’m a coder so I could probably figure this out, I’m just wondering if there are any existing code snippets or anything else to point me in the right direction.
Thanks,

MemberHello baynature,
Sorry we don’t have any code or tuts for that yet! If would like to email us at pro [at] tri.be we have a list of freelancers we have worked with in the past, they should be able to help you out if you need it.
All the venues are a full WordPress Custom Post Type though, so it should be pretty simple to put together a theme template to query for those posts.

Does this make sense? Let me know if this doesn’t work for you.
Cheers!

ParticipantNo problem, Casey, I’ll figure it out — I’ve done this type of thing before. I’ll try to post something on UserVoice when I have a chance.
Thanks!
