Out of all the calendars I’ve seen this one is by far my favorite. But as far as I can tell the option to have a drop down category for the calendar isn’t an offered feature. I saw that there is a search.. But I’m wanting something that’s like this plugins colander… http://demo.wp-events-plugin.com/calendar/ … There is a drop down category feature…

Am I missing something or does this plug in offer this? I really love the clean and map view of this calander plug in… But I really need this one feature

I’m sorry to bear the bad news, but at this time the only way to add category filters is with our Filter Bar add-on. You can learn more about this add-on here → https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-filterbar/

It does not require any other add-on to work, even Events Calendar PRO, but is still a premium/paid add-on itself.

So it’s $89 to go pro for the actual calander and $89 for the $89 to add the category features?

The Events Calendar is 100% free, and you do NOT need to buy Events Calendar PRO unless you want the features that it provides.

But yes, all add-ons start at the $89 price range. With the free “Core” plugin of The Events Calendar, you can then just choose whatever functionality you want, and buy only the add-ons you need to achieve that functionality.

You do not need PRO for any other add-on. All add-ons work independently of each other, and only require the free version of The Events Calendar from http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar.
