    Hello support,

Following the themer’s guide I’ve customized some community template files and everything works fine. But the same method does not seem to work for language files.

I’ve customized the German language file and if I save it in the plugin’s original language folder:
    /the-events-calendar-community-events/lang/
it works just fine, but if I save it like a customized template file in:
    /my-theme/tribe-events/community/lang/
    it doesn’t work.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug?

    Hello Rafael,

You are not doing anything wrong and it is not a bug. It is not a feature to move the language file to the theme and have it use that one. Unfortunately, the only way to do change the language file is to change it in the plugin itself.

If you would like to request that feature please head to our UserVoice Page and add your own or upvote that feature as they will increase the chances of it being added to a future version.

    Thanks

Oh I see. Thanks for your prompt response. I’ll suggets this as a feature for a future release. So for the moment I’ll just have to remember to re-upload my customized language file whenever I update the plugin.

Sounds good. Thanks for making that suggestion. It is something I would like to see us work on as well.

I am going to close this ticket, but if you need anything else related to this topic or another please post a new topic on the forum and we can help you out.

    Thanks
