It appears that an RSVP means that someone plans to attend. Is there a way to offer “Yes / No / Maybe” options? Also, do any of your plugins offer that capability to send invitations to a mailing list?
Excellent question. That is indeed a feature we are hoping to work on for a future release but, for now, Event Tickets merely captures the intent of someone who is planning to attend.
And, yes, the plugin does capture a list of attendees, which can then be exported and integrated into the mailing application of your choice.
Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. 🙂
But prior to an event, before anyone has RSVPd, is there a way from within the plugin to send an email to a list inviting them to the event? Now that I think of it, I guess I’m looking for the ability to send a mass email containing an invitation, as well as buttons for RSVPing from within the email.
Yeah, I’m afraid the plugin does not do email marketing in and of itself, though you could use a service like Mail Chimp or Campaign Monitor to send that sort of mass message with a call to action to register for the event.
Is there a way to link the iCal importer to the RSVP “Yes! I will attend” button such that the event is added to a users calendar when they RSVP that they will attend the event?
Hi Kara and thanks for chiming in! That might very well be possible, but it would take a level of custom development that we unfortunately are unable to support here in the forums.
Hey folks — I see one of my previous replies was marked as an answer. I’ll go ahead and close this thread but please do feel free to open a new one if any other questions pop up and we’d be happy to help. 🙂
Cheers!
