We’re setting up an event and we’d like people to RSVP on the site, then pay at the door a minimum donation of $12. If I enable RSVP, then FREE is populated into all of the appropriate fields, which I don’t want. If I enable a price, then people are redirected through woo commerce then asked to pay, which I don’t want either.

What’s the best way to remove Free from the header (see image) and to put $12 minimum donation in the Cost section (see image)?

    Hi Thomas!

Thanks for reaching out to us! I’d be happy to help you with this topic.

You can achieve that by making a template customization. We have a great article on customizing our templates here > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/

If you were to customize the template, you might want to have a look at the tribe_get_cost() function that returns the cost for the event in the single-event.php template file located at /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views/

Additionally, we have an extension that might be of help in your case, that will show the default event cost field in the edit event page > https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/display-the-event-cost-field-when-ticket-plugins-are-installed/

I hope that helps! Let me know if you have other questions.

    Best,
    Victor

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
