Note: Site still has lots of construction dust.

http://lightningridgecellars.com/wp/events/I have Facebook importing to the calendar. In addition to the events page, I’d like to have a quick summary of upcoming events on the frontpage. The RSS feed works, but the dates are listed as the import date (i.e., today) instead of the event date. Additionally, they seem to be showing up in reverse order: the furthest-away date is listed first.
Is there a non-hacky way to correct these issues? Or at least a way that won’t go away on an update?

You can customize your feeds to include whatever event data you want. Here is an example of adding the start/end date to the feed. Add this to your functions.php file: https://gist.github.com/jonahcoyote/5030858
You can read more about customizing feeds here: http://digwp.com/2012/10/customizing-wordpress-feeds/
The dates should be in the correct order. What is the feed URL you are viewing? In order to see your dates in the right order, you need to be viewing the feed @ http://lightningridgecellars.com/wp/events/feed/
I hope that helps!

February 25, 2013 at 10:53 am #40896SteveParticipantHello. I am indeed using the http://lightningridgecellars.com/wp/events/feed/ . I’ll take a closer look at feed customization; at this point in the project, I mainly needed a “yes, this can be done” and a pointer where to figure out how. Thanks for both 🙂
I’ll post what I end up with.
