ParticipantHello,
I was using an RSS feed in my app from mywebsite/events/feed and it was working fine but then all of the sudden I started getting 403 errors. Is there any reason this would happen? If so, how do I fix it?
Thank you

MemberHey Robert,
Thanks for getting in touch with us and sorry to hear about this! Let’s see what’s going on here…
First of all let me say I’m seeing something pretty weird in your system information: ‘The Events Calendar version 99994.3.4.1 by Modern Tribe, Inc.’. Are you using a custom build of our plugins? If not can you please re-install the current version you were using?
Also, have you noticed this after installing an update or something similar? I could verify the feed address is still the same and works fine after the 4.4 release.
Lastly please note that 403 HTTP errors are actual forbidden access messages. I could verify the feed is accesible via browser, maybe it’s just the app getting the 403? Have you contacted you hosting company / server admin on this? Maybe there was a permission change at some point?
Please let me know about it,
Best,

ParticipantHello,
I reinstalled it and now the rss is working but the colors on the calendar have stopped? Why could this be?
Thank you

Stocked to hear the feed is now working. But I’m sorry to hear about ‘the colors on the calendar’are now broken. Can you clarify a bit on this?

ParticipantIf you go to [mywebsite]/events you will see the calendar has no colors on it yet there are color identifiers at the top. Normally the calendar displays events with colors. Also the rss feed is displaying the html tags within the text so it looks like
this is a sentence
.
Why might that be?January 16, 2017 at 8:12 pm #1219407Nico

This functionality is provided by a third party plugin ‘The Events Calendar Category Colors’. Please reach out to the plugin support forum. Andy, the person maintaining the plugin is super responsive and gives great support.

Can you please share with me the feed URL? I’ll check this out!
Thanks,
