I would like to utilize the RSS feed to export events directly into 3rd party event calendars for my business. I have read your existing pages on customizing the RSS feed, and have added the start/end times and the featured image…. but I have some other customization requests.

    1. Can the feed be sorted chronologically based on the EVENT START DATE. As it is now, it is going off the event’s post date, which is a useless field for an event RSS feed.

    2. Can password protected events be excluded from the RSS feed? Our interest is to post all of our public events on 3rd party website calendars. Password protected or “private” events have no purpose in a feed of this sort, and are just taking up space and load time from viable entries.

    3. As the events are displayed, there isn’t a clear CTA (call to action) for where to get a ticket when viewing via the feed. Can a “Purchase Tickets Now” button be somehow added into the feed?

    4. There are also a few fields in the RSS feed that don’t serve any particular purpose for us, for example the comments feed. Is there a way to exclude these for the event RSS feeds?

Thank you very much for your time. We appreciate everything Tribe has done in making a stellar product to grow our brand on.

    Hi Mike,

Beyond the existing resources we have on this topic (which by the sounds of things you’ve already hit on) we can’t offer any further support with this sort of request – especially as there are a number of facets to what you are after and they are all pretty specific to your use case.

A lot of this really comes down to general WP development skills – and we can certainly offer up a list of possible contacts should you wish to work through some of what you’ve outlined with a suitable developer?

    Thanks!
