RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: cURL error 28: Connection timed out after 10000 millis

We recently installed “The Events Calendar” with the “Event Tickets Plus” plugin.

And all the WP Dashboard pages started taking forwarver to load. Our host believes it is related to this error message we get in the WP Dashboard:

RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: cURL error 28: Connection timed out after 10000 milliseconds

I’ve attached a screenshot of it as well. Is there a way to disable that?

Hi Laurie Thomas.

We haven’t been experiencing this, but maybe our server had a blip and your server cached it at just that wrong moment. Or maybe not…

Regardless, the Dashboard widget gets added from this code: https://github.com/moderntribe/the-events-calendar/blob/4.2.5/src/Tribe/Main.php#L3859-L3870

So you can reference Removing Dashboard Widgets for tribe_dashboard_widget
