    Hi there!

    We are using your plugin.

The problem is that the events are visable under almost all pages in the Google search results. We only want to show them under the homepage and the event page. Is there a way to remove the markup for all other pages?

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

Welcome back to our forums, I’d be happy to help you with this! 🙂

Unfortunately, how Google’s web crawlers interpret and display The Events Calendar data from your site, isn’t always in our control, however I do have some suggestions for you to try that may help out here.

The best approach to effect how Google is crawling your site is to utilize Googles Search Console (formerly known as Webmaster Tools), as Hunter suggests in this similar thread. (Here is Google’s tutorial for setting up your Search Console Account)

Submitting a sitemap in your Search Console, will allow you to inform Google of the actual hierarchy of your content, where its web crawlers are currently taking their best guesses. There are several free tools (like this one) that will allow you to generate a sitemap to submit. You can often also control other aspects of your Google listing from the search console, which you may find beneficial aside from this issue. 🙂

Please let me know if you have any follow up questions here, or need any clarification on this!

    Cheers,

    Shelby 🙂

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
