    Hi there,

I feel like I’ve come across this issue at some point and was able to fix with a php snippet in my functions.php. Hoping you can help.

Currently, our Events URL slug is “events-calendar”. So the url looks like this: example.com/events-calendar.

BUT since this page should be a child, we need the url to read: example.com/resort-experiences/events-calendar/.

Likewise the Single event should read: example.com/resort-experiences/events-calendar/event/

Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks!

    Hey Vincent,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

Regarding your question, there are a few options here:

1- If you want to change your default Site URL “from http://example.com” to “http://example.com/resort-experiences” the calendar will obey the new structure and the URL will be automatically updated to “example.com/resort-experiences/events-calendar/”.

2- If you want to keep the main domain “http://example.com” and move the calendar to a subdomain called “http://example.com/resort-experiences”, you just have to install The Events calendar in this new subdomain WordPress install and move/migrate your events there.

3- Last but not the least, you can also simply redirect “example.com/events-calendar/” to “example.com/resort-experiences/events-calendar/” by adding a rewrite rule in your server or using a plugin like Quick Page/Post Redirect.

I hope this helps you get started!

Let me know if you have any other questions and I’ll be happy to assist!

    Best Regards,

    Patricia
