ModeratorThe responsive view needs to be adjusted so that in iPad or iPad mini the horizontal orientation does not result in the “mobile” view.
The horizontal orientation of iPad or iPad mini is more than adequate to view full size.

ParticipantHowdy Andy!
I just checked in with the team about this. Our dev team deliberated about this a lot while developing the new responsive theme. They ended up deciding that the current setup is best for tablets. It gives larger click/tap areas which is definitely nice, even on iPads. It is also more accommodating of a wider variety of themes, longer event titles, and such. That said, as you are no doubt aware we do welcome feedback. If you think that we made the wrong call here, or perhaps would like to see a setting for the responsive breakpoint, please throw that suggestion up on our official feature suggestion page.
If you want to just change the breakpoint for your own site, this can be accomplished by tapping into the filter ‘tribe_events_mobile_breakpoint’. An example snippet here might help you.
Let me know if I can answer any more questions this. Thanks!

ModeratorWell, not quite perfectly. In the week view no events are displayed. 🙁

ParticipantWell that’s not perfect at all. It is working fine for me locally in week view with that snippet. What theme are you using? If you view the page source, or right click and inspect, are you seeing that HTML for each event is there but it is just hidden somehow?

ModeratorBrook, I’m using a simple child theme based on TwentyTwelve. It up on my GitHub profile afragen/test-child
It seems the data is inside a data-tribejson tag and is HTML encoded. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. In a quick look at the source it seems there’s still a lot of mobile tags.

ParticipantHello again Andy,
That is strange. I do not believe I have seen that before.
Would you mind testing in the fully default environment just to guarantee it is not a different plugin or your child theme? You might have already tested that, but if not I have seen that root out countless problems that I am unable to produce locally. Various members of the team have actually specifically tested overriding this filter during our QA, and it worked for everyone. It is definitely worth a shot to try the default environment in my opinion. Thanks!
