    Hi Event Managers,

    I am trying to make some of the fields required on event submission page and went through this guide https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/required-fields-for-events-submission-form/

    It just mentions “you could add the following snippet of code to your site:” I am not sure where I can add the code to make this work. Can anyone guide me where to add the code? which file and where in the file?

    Welcome to WordPress customizing!

    Best practice for adding custom code (like to implement a PHP snippet to modify The Events Calendar) is to create a functionality plugin, unless it’s something specific to your theme, in which case best practice is to make sure you’re using a child theme<i>,</i> then add the customization to your child theme’s functions.php file.
