ParticipantHello
I need to replicate the events in “The Events Calendar” from one site to another site. I did see a similar request back in 2013 here, however, there were no other follow-ups.
I assumed a good starting foundation to have “The Events Calendar” also installed on the receiving site, however, that’s where I am held up.
Thank you.February 6, 2015 at 9:40 am #940557Josh
ParticipantHey Dominick,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
You’re correct, the best thing to do will be to have The Events Calendar and all similar add-ons for The Events Calendar activated on both sites. You can then export the Venues, Organizers, and Events from the original site under the tools -> export tab within your WordPress dashboard.
You can then import these export files into your new site, ensuring that you import both the Venues and Organizers first before importing the events. These can be imported on the new site under the tools > import tab within your WordPress dashboard.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantI did do the export to a file method of all events. The Event Calendar versions are both installed and licensed on both sites btw.
However, on the import is does import all the events, but loses the permalink, the venue, and the image on all posts.
Any help would be appreciated.February 6, 2015 at 12:51 pm #940622dominick
ParticipantAdditional info:
Here is the XML feed that we use:
http://flavorus.com/wafform.aspx?_act=clientaffiliatesearch&AJAX=1&rss=1&_pky=131188&AffiliateKey=J09VI1&s=miami&redrawSearchBar=trueWhat we also notice when importing from the above link (this is one the source side btw) is that The Events cal only pulls the event title, nothing else. I have to manually assign event dates, category, image, etc to each event.

ParticipantHey Dominick,
Thanks for following up with us.
An alternative would be to migrate the database from the old site to the new one using a plugin such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-migrate-db/.
Let me know if this alternative works for you.
Thanks!
