ParticipantHI, I tested your free plugin on a website running WPML. Everything worked fine, I then decided to buy the pro version. I intend on buying a Developer licence as I have about 10 sites to create over the next year. All will use WPML. I chose your plugin because it was translated in to so many languages and had all the features I needed.
The issue is that when WPML is activated, reoccurring events don’t get created. I made a video showing the problem:
WPML is a widely used plugin for WordPress, it would be good if I could get it working with your plugin.

MemberHello Again.
Sorry for the issues you are having with WPML and the Events Calendar.
Unfortunately, our plugins are not compatible with each other right now. We have on our agenda for the new year to make our plugin compatible with WPML, but it requires a rather significant change to our coding to get it to work.
Because of the level of changes we have to make there is no snippet to resolve this in the mean time.
Let me know if you have any follow up questions.
Thanks

ParticipantThank you for your response. I have read a number of forum posts on the same topic, so it may be in your interest to make your plugin compatible with WPML but I understand your reluctance to make such a big change to your coding practices.
I have had a look around at other calendar plugins that are compatible with WPML and to be honest most of them look rubbish. I want to stick with your calendar software if possible.
So, I thought… Could you create a blog post or a small pdf guide on how to make the two plugins work as best as they can together in the mean time before you end up having to rewrite all your code? It appears that if you turn WMPL off and then use the calendar plugin it works, then all you have to do is turn WPML back on and the repeated events are in the calendar. But I have only played around with it for a few hours. Perhaps one of your seasoned developers may get quicker and better results?
All I am asking for is that there is some sort of resource that people can read to make the best of a bad situation?
Just an idea…

MemberHi Sebastian,
I totally understand the request for more information on helping make the two plugins work together. Unfortunately, we do not have a resource like that, we know there are conflicts, but have not started out project to dig in and fix them nor do we have any temporary solutions to provide. Sorry for not having more for you, again we are interested in making the two plugins work well together, but we are just not there yet.
Thanks

ParticipantThank you for the reply. I am going to need to ask for a refund 🙁
It is a shame because your plugin is great and I would not hesitate to use it on a project that I do not have to use WPML on.
How do I go about getting a refund on my purchase?

MemberOk sorry we can’t help on this right now.
Please email us at pro(at)tri.be with your receipt number and we can process the refund.
