Reoccurring Events Not Showing in Calendar

First off, if you go to Events Settings < General, make sure you have Recurring event instances unchecked.
If you do, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:
- A conflict with another plugin
- A conflict with your WordPress theme
- A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
- Make a backup of your database
- Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

Recurring event instances is unchecked. I did more investigating and it became apparent that it’s not related to a plugin or theme conflict.
This one is displaying correcting and uses the “Once” reoccurrence: https://mykidlist.com/event/tween-night-3/all/
This one is only displaying the first occurrence and none after that and was also created using the “Once” reoccurrence: https://mykidlist.com/event/movies-in-the-park-24/all/
There are many events that were set up with reoccurrences that only display the first one and subsequent events do not appear in the list when selecting “See all”. I have also chosen the specific day that the next occurrence should appear, such as July 27, 2018 from the example above, and the event doesn’t show up on the day either. This means that a significant number of reoccurring summer events are not showing up on the calendar for July and August, which is a huge problem for my website.
Can you please look into this to see what the root cause is?
Another setting to take a look at is your Create recurring events in advance for under Events Settings < General.
By default, that is set to 24 months, which means that recurring events are created 24 months in advance. Can you tell me what you’re seeing there?
Also, can you take a screenshot of what one of the events that isn’t working looks like on the backend?
Can you also update your Events Calendar related plugins to their most recent versions and then create a test event to see if recurring events show up as expected?
