Removing the Google Calendar and ICAL export options for a single event

My site has one event. I will not be displaying a calendar. The links for Google Calendar and ICAL are in the way, and I would like to remove them.

I was following this thread and see the code displayed, but do not see what php file to insert this code into. I feel that this should be a checkbox adjustment within the event and not a php coding level adjustment. Could someone advise?
