removing events from the sidebar

Hello, our events link on the side bar, not the upcoming events but just events, brings up a page with all of the old events. I can’t find that page to edit it, or just make it go away. Or remove the events link from the sidebar. I’m not a developer, I’m just trying to figure it all out on my own. Can you help?
