MemberQuick question…I have added a recurring event that generally happens every Tues/Thurs all year long. However, there are certain exceptions, holidays, etc. that I need to remove from the recurrence. Is that possible?

MemberYou should be able to remove them from the recurrence, yes – just find the instance in the broader backend events list, hover over it and hit “trash.” It’ll ditch that single instance but none of the others.
Let me know if that doesn’t work or if I misinterpreted your request entirely.

MemberI have found that “trashing” a single date from a series of recurring events deletes the entire series of events, even when “delete just this occurence” is chosen on the selection box.

MemberHey Bill. Thanks for the note; that’s a known bug (we’re fixing it for 2.0.2); but you should be able to delete it from the broader events list individually, versus from within the post itself. Does that also pose problems for you?

MemberThanks Rob – yes it still is an issue – when attempting to delete from the events list, the screen refreshes and the event is still there – no choice to delete just the occurrence / entire series.

MemberThanks for confirming, Bill. As I’m unable to recreate that on my default 2011 theme, my guess is this is a conflict with your theme.
Can you let me know A ) whether the issue persists when you revert to the 2011 theme, and B ) what theme you’re currently using?
November 9, 2011 at 11:23 am #10821Bill
MemberThanks for response Rob. I switched my theme to the 2011 theme & the issue persists. You can’t delete the event from the full events list & deleting the event fom the post editing page deletes the entire series. BTW, I am using a “custom” recurrence – say the 3rd Tuesday of each month.
I also have the most current version of TEC Pro and this is a new install, not an upgrade. My theme is the Education child theme from Studio Press running on Genesis.

MemberThanks Bill. I was just able to recreate this myself, too…looks like it’s a bug. I’ve got our dev looking into the other issue (of being unable to delete from within the entry) and just updated our ticket to bump up the priority & make sure this is included in the 2.0.2 release we’re working on now and aim to have out over the next week or two. Apologies for the inconvenience in the interim.

MemberThanks for looking into this Rob – looking forward to 2.0.2!

MemberWe’re on track with it – aiming to release sometime late next week. Fingers crossed.

ModeratorI’m seeing this exact issue as well and I running 2.0.2. FWIW, I’m also on WP 3.3

MemberThanks Andy. This fix was pushed to 2.0.3 since we were unable to figure out what was up, and wanted to get the release out. We’re aiming to get 2.0.3 out before the end of the month and assuming we can get this figured out by then, the fix will be included. Otherwise it’ll definitely be in 2.1. Sorry I couldn’t offer up more.
