Remove website from imported events

I currently have 2 sites running The Events Calendar, and I’ve purchased the Event Aggregator so that we can clone the events we create on Site 1 so that they live on Site 2.

When we run the import on Site 2, the “Website” fields for the event and the venue are filled with the information from Site 1, even though we don’t have anything in those fields on Site 1.

So Site 2 shows a link back to Site 1 for each event, and we’d like for that not to be the case. I can go in manually and clear the Website field from each listing, but that defeats the purpose of bringing in all the events automatically. I’m also aware I can hide the field with CSS, but would prefer not to do that in case we need the Website field for future use.

Is there a setting or option I can use to prevent the Website fields from being filled with the source URLs during import?

We have logged a feature request to allow granular control of what gets imported and what doesn’t, but this isn’t a current feature.
