Remove Use Saved Venue due to Duplicates

Hi,
How do I remove the field “Use Saved Venue:…” from the form. There are a number of duplicate entries and until they are cleared up I would like this item removed.

Great question! Yes, you can remove this dropdown. First you’ll need to perform a template override of events-meta-box.php by putting a copy of this file in the following directory: ‘YOUR_THEME_DIRECTORY/events/community/’.

Once you’ve copied this file over, then you can modify this copy of events-meta-box.php and change line 87 from this:





to this:





This will comment out the function that is used to display the Saved Venus. Please let me know if you’re able to get that working, or if you need more help. Thanks!

We are aware of the duplicated ‘Saved Venues’ issue and have submitted a ticket to our developers to take a look at this. Unfortunately, there’s currently no way to clean up this data from your end. Hiding that dropdown would be the best bet at this point. I’ll keep you posted. Thanks!

That would be great. To verify, if I delete a duplicate venue or organizer, the event will not get deleted. Is that correct?

That’s correct. It will just be removed from any Events it was assigned to.
