Simeon Rowsell
ParticipantHi there,
I’m not sure if this is the best place to post this but there doesn’t seem to be a forum for general events questions so I went for the forum for the particular extension I’m using. Feel free to move me if need be!
I’m using tickets plus with woocommerce but am not using the single events pages themselves. I’ve built my own templates using the functionality provided by the plugin but the user journey isn’t actually via the single events pages. They head straight to the cart from a separate custom page where I have the tickets listed. Is there any way that I can ‘switch off’ the single event /event/… URL’s or prevent them being auto-generated? I’d prefer for them not to be published so they don’t start being picked up by search engines and throw the user journey off.
Hope that makes sense. Any suggestions appreciated!
Thanks for your help,

MemberHi Simeon. Sounds like a pretty neat setup. We’re always interested in hearing about customized uses of our products so feel free to share whenever it’s ready!
To answer your question, you might be able to use a plugin like Yoast SEO‘s “Titles and Meta” options: http://cl.ly/0C0e3H1V0i1I
If that’s not sufficient, you could add some custom code like “if single Event post type, redirect to home page” (or to the Events Month View or the Event’s “Event Website” meta field, etc).
I hope these ideas help. 🙂

ParticipantThanks for your help Cliff, I’ll try one of those and see how they work out! Hadn’t thought about just redirecting from the single post type.
Yeh I’ll certainly share it with you guys when it’s done – it’ll be interesting to hear your thoughts. What’s the best way to send it over to you? Great plugin by the way!

MemberGlad to hear. If you get it done within 2 weeks, you can reply here (after that, the bot closes non-responsive threads) — otherwise, just post a new forum thread if you choose to share.
Thanks!
