I’m trying to figure a way to remove past events from the search. I want to search to bring back blog posts, organizers and current and future events. I know that I need to change what I’m calling from wp query, but I can’t figure out how to get the results that I need.

    Hello funinjerusalem,

I’m not sure I’ll be able to help much here unfortunately, as that level of customization goes beyond the scope of the forums.

However, if you filter the query for the _EventEndDate wp_postmeta.meta_key, you should be able to remove the ones you don’t want to publish (those with dates prior to today).

Also, you may find the Event Rocket plugin to be very useful. It is experimental and we are not able to support it, but it was created by one of our developers and it might give you some of the answers you’re looking for. There is a feature to cleanup expired events.

Does this make sense? Let me know if I can explain anything else!

    Cheers!
