How do I remove the “Events for” that appears before the name of the month in the month view title? I just want the name of the month and year to show.

Thanks for you comment, and thats a very common question. Take a look at this tutorial here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/altering-or-removing-headings-on-calendar-views/.
This tutorial is an example of how to change the title, in different locations around the plugin. Take a look at the documentation also (http://docs.tri.be/) and you should have all you need to get the result you are looking for.
Hope that helps

August 3, 2013 at 10:34 pm #58698threecedarsParticipantThanks for the info, but I’m not able to figure out how to remove the “Events for” text in the month view title. I also want to remove the “TH” and “ND” in the title of the Week and Day views. More specific instructions would be appreciated. Thank you!
August 5, 2013 at 3:56 pm #58915NeillMemberHi threecedars,
I believe the way that the date is formatted would be inherited from WordPress. In which case, you’d have to read up on the codex they provide for how to work with that: http://codex.wordpress.org/Formatting_Date_and_Time. Bare in mind it will change site wide.
As for the month view title, if you managed to implement the changes from the example tutorial, you would just have to include the template for month view which is “tribe_is_month ()”
Having a read through the themers guide ( https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/) might give you the overview of views and templates you’ll need for any other template changes, and then don’t forget the documentation. For example here’s a definition of “tribe_is_month ()” in the documentation: http://docs.tri.be/Events-Calendar/function-tribe_is_month.html
One other thing that I find very useful is the search bar on that same page – it has an auto-finish function that pulls up all definitions, if you are in the ball park of what you are searching for (e.g. http://d.pr/i/3w9G)
Hope that helps.
NeillApril 18, 2014 at 5:06 am #135915TonyParticipantThis is out of date (the link no longer works) and doesn’t answer the question properly. He wants to keep the date in the title but remove the ‘Events for’.
July 8, 2014 at 2:12 pm #312636AndrewParticipantI have changed the month title in the past by editing the-events-calendar/public/template-tags/loop.php
Search for ‘Events for’, just below if( tribe_is_month() ). Delete or change that text as desired.
