Hi there,
I’m trying to remove the “Featured Image” on an event post that is imported using the Eventbrite importer. If I remove the image, it just comes right back and adds new images every time to my media library. Is there any way to turn this off or is this a bug?
Cheers,

Thanks for reaching out to us! I’ll help you out on this one 🙂
That doesn’t sound like a bug, I guess the sync is just not aware if you deleted the image or not. To be sure, you want to totally disable the image import from EventBrite or just the image update?
Not sure if this is possible at all but I will try to find a proper workaround.

Thanks for the reply. Ideally if it pulls, we just want the ability to remove it. Our temp workaround is to delete the image from the WordPress media library.

ShubAugust 21, 2015 at 1:59 pm #998031NicoMemberHey Shub,
Thanks for the clarifying that up! Unfortunately there no easy way to achieve this -no way to filter this technically- so I’ve logged a ticket for this and it will be added to the next release of the plugin.
One way around could be doing something like what Barry suggests in this thread: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/regarding-featured-image/
I’ll try to craft a similar snippet for your case, but no sure if this is possible at all.
Thanks for your patience on this,

Thanks for the reply – looking forward to the resolution.
In the mean time, we’ve found a (very) crude solution – deleting the image from the media library seems to work. Thanks,
ShubAugust 24, 2015 at 2:19 pm #998533NicoMemberHey Shub,
I’ve tried a couple of fixes for this, but unfortunately there’s no easy way of blocking this sync 🙁
This will not be included in the upcoming release as it was already on QA phase when I logged this, but it’s targeted to the next release. I also linked this thread to the ticket so you’ll get noticed when this is done 🙂
Do you think you can hold on with the -crude- solution you’ve found till this is fixed?
Thanks for you patience on this,

I wanted to report back to you on the status of this issue. Your report is tracked in our internal system and a fix is on our to-do list, but we were not able to fit it into our upcoming 3.12 release. Please know that the issue is still very much on our radar and we will be working on it for a future release. We appreciate your patience while we work to improve our plugins. Thank you for using The Events Calendar!
Best,
Leah
