Remove category label from tribe_meta_event_cats

I’m trying to remove the category label and the DT/DD tags.

I’m not a coder, but as far as I can follow from the documentation, I should be able to do this by using the following: http://pastebin.com/HyiQ1Rag

However, this doesn’t have any effect, I still see the label and the tags.
Any help? Thanks.

Hi Tony,

Make a copy of /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/views/single.php and place in an ‘events’ folder in your theme and then replace the tribe_meta_event_cats() function with this: https://gist.github.com/2967263
