Release: Version 3.7 of The Events Calendar, Events Calendar PRO + most add-ons

    Hi folks! We’re happy to announce that we have finished our latest build! We are releasing version 3.7 for The Events Calendar, Events Calendar PRO, and all of our other add-ons except for Shopp Tickets, which had no changes this time. Before you jump in and start updating, be sure to read our blog post about the latest changes to the code.

    There are 3.7 updates for all of the following plugins:

    • The Events Calendar
    • Events Calendar PRO
    • Community Events
    • Facebook Events
    • Eventbrite Tickets
    • WooCommerce Tickets
    • EDD Tickets
    • WPEC Tickets
    • Filter Bar

    Shopp Tickets did not get an update this go around. A detailed changelog for each plugin is below.

    The Events Calendar 3.7

    • Added promotional blurb to plugin footer
    • Fixed some untranslatable strings
    • Cleaned up PHPDoc comments and some unused code
    • Fixed an issue where subscriber level users could see the Events admin menu item
    • Fixed an issue where the plugin wasn’t correctly outputting the class names to body_class() for custom page templates
    • Improved behavior of the end-of-day cutoff setting, particularly in month view
    • Fixed incorrect ordering of events on Day view (thank you IbInra for reporting this!)
    • Simplified and cleaned up the code in the nav.php template for list view
    • Fixed the PHP notice when calling tribe_delete_events (thanks to studiotenfour for highlighting this!)
    • Added time zone data to the system information listed on the Help page
    • Added exporting to Google Calendar from calendar views (thanks to Memeco on Uservoice for this idea!)
    • Fixed some issues with GET params and IE 8/9 (thank you irishrunner16 for bringing this to our attention!)
    • Added the ability to override labels and slugs for venues/organizers
    • Fixed an issue where manual dates in the Event Bar did not cooperate with AJAX
    • Fixed an issue where all day events were showing on multiple days
    • Corrected an issue with the start times of multi-day events
    • Resolved array to string conversion error (thanks to integrity on the forums!)
    • Fixed a fatal JS error on calendar pages without navigation links
    • Incorporated new Bulgarian translation files, courtesy of Nedko Ivanov
    • Incorporated new Chinese translation files, courtesy of Massound Huang
    • Incorporated new Indonesian translation files, courtesy of Didik Priyanto

    Events Calendar PRO 3.7

    • Fixed some untranslatable text strings
    • Altered Week View so so as not to link to days with no events
    • Added the ability to override labels and slugs for venues and organizers
    • Fixed some issues with GET params and IE 8/9
    • Fixed an issue where non-standard widget implementation would break the ajax on the Calendar Widget (thanks to whirlmagazine on the forums for reporting this!)
    • Added feature to scroll to first event of week on week view, instead of to 8am (thank you chaplin35 for bringing this up!)
    • Optimized the Countdown Widget for sites with many events (thanks to vancouverfamily for highlighting this issue!)
    • Fixed a problem where the relationship between additional fields and their labels could lead to conflicts (thank you to integrity for bringing this to our attention!)
    • Added a notification for when a recurring event extends beyond the cutoff setting date
    • Corrected a problem where European format commas for geolocation values were causing problems with Google Maps (thanks to andreassperber for reporting this!)
    • Fixed an issue where Week View was being effected by “show only first recurrence” settings (thank you magictigger for bringing this up on the forum!)
    • Improved the labeling of the date format settings
    • Fixed a bug related to the APM start date filter (thanks to dankron for highlighting this issue!)
    • Cleaned up PHPDoc comments
    • Corrected a problem where events were not ordered chronologically on Map View (thank you mggillespie for reporting this!)
    • Removed 2.x templates from codebase
    • Added event classes to the event titles in the Featured Venue widget (props to @afragen for this!)
    • Changed Week View pagination so as not to link to weeks before/after the earliest/latest events
    • Fixed a bug in Chrome with Photo View where using the browser back button would drop a selected category (thank you to blinktech in the forum for bringing this up!)
    • Incorporated new Bulgarian translation files, courtesy of Nedko Ivanov

    Community Events 3.7

    • Corrected an issue where submitted events were losing categories and metadata (thanks to immeemz on the forums for reporting this!)
    • Improved the effects of the
      tribe_events_community_required_fields

      filter for marking required fields (thank you to Chris for the idea!)

    • Fixed duplicate HTML ID in submission templates (thank you integrity for bringing this to our attention!)
    • Fixed a bug where a user could view drafts events they did not have permission to see
    • Changed email notification markup to a template for customization (thank you hackauf for bringing this up!)
    • Added better error handling for submitting images with invalid file types
    • Added the ability to override the labels & slugs for venues and organizers
    • Renamed files and classes to be inline with official naming scheme
    • Incorporated new Chinese translation files, courtesy of Massound Huang
    • Incorporated new Indonesian translation files, courtesy of Didik Priyanto
    • Incorporated updated Spanish translation files, courtesy of Juan Jose Reparaz Sarasola

    Facebook Events 3.7

    • Corrected textdomains for proper translations
    • Incorporated new Chinese translation files, courtesy of Massound Huang
    • Incorporated new Indonesian translation files, courtesy of Didik Priyanto

    Eventbrite Tickets 3.7

    • Fixed some translation strings textdomains for correct translations
    • Fixed a bug where the same venue could be re-imported repeatedly, resulting in unnecessary duplicates
    • Improved handling of events imported from a different timezone when using city-based WordPress time zones (thanks to Cloud Genius for highlighting this!) We are still working on support for numeric-based time zones.

    WooCommerce Tickets 3.7

    • Improved ticketing class so that ticket emails can more readily be deactivated (thanks to Daniel on UserVoice for the suggestion!)
    • Incorporated new Chinese translation files, courtesy of Massound Huang
    • Incorporated new Indonesian translation files, courtesy of Didik Priyanto

    EDD Tickets 3.7

    • Resolved an issue relating to the EDD API and ticket visibility (with special thanks to @afragen and @pippinsplugins!)
    • Added measures to prevent accidental cart submissions (thanks to rpphotography for highlighting this!)

    WPEC Tickets 3.7

    • Corrected textdomain string for correct translations

    Filter Bar 3.7

    • Improved support for kilometres within distance filter (thanks to pnegyesi for highlighting this issue!)
    • Fixed an issue where the <title> was inconsistent when filters were applied
    • Added an admin toolbar item linking to the plugin settings screen
    • Fixed an issue where filters were not preserved when clicking the ‘View all # Events’ link in grid view (thanks to kosovichmedia on the forums for reporting this!)
    • Added the ability for users to override the CSS file
    • Fixed a Z-index issue that caused filters to overlap strangely with Week View (thank you to Lars for bringing this to our attention!)
    • Fixed a conflict between the vertical Filter Bar and our classic header
    • Incorporated new Chinese translation files, courtesy of Massound Huang
    • Incorporated new Portuguese translation files, courtesy of Joao Roma
